Warranty Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Express Containers LLC ("Express Containers," "Company," "we," "our," or "us").

This Warranty Policy outlines the warranty coverage applicable to products purchased from Express Containers LLC. By purchasing our products, you agree to the terms of this Warranty Policy in addition to our Terms & Conditions, Returns & Refund Policy, and other applicable policies.

Warranty coverage varies depending on the product type, condition, manufacturer, and any modifications performed.

2. General Warranty Coverage

Express Containers LLC warrants that products sold by us will substantially conform to their advertised description at the time of delivery.

Warranty coverage applies only to manufacturing defects, workmanship defects, or material defects that occur during the applicable warranty period and under normal intended use.

Warranty coverage does not guarantee that products will remain free from normal wear, cosmetic changes, or deterioration caused by age or environmental conditions.

3. Warranty Periods

Unless otherwise stated in writing or covered by a manufacturer's warranty:

If a manufacturer provides a longer warranty, the manufacturer's warranty terms will apply.

4. Structural Warranty

The Limited Structural Warranty generally covers defects affecting the structural integrity of the container, including:

  • Structural frame defects

  • Major weld failures resulting from defective workmanship

  • Structural roof defects caused by manufacturing or workmanship issues

  • Structural wall failures

  • Structural floor support failures

Coverage is limited to defects that materially affect the intended structural use of the container.

5. Workmanship Warranty

Where Express Containers LLC performs container modifications, fabrication, or installation work, we warrant our workmanship for the applicable warranty period.

This warranty may cover defects relating to:

  • Welding

  • Installed doors

  • Windows

  • Interior framing

  • Partition walls

  • Exterior modifications

  • Paint application defects caused by workmanship

  • Installed flooring

  • Custom fabrication performed by Express Containers LLC

6. Refrigerated Container Warranty

Refrigerated (Reefer) containers may contain refrigeration equipment manufactured by third parties.

Warranty coverage for refrigeration systems may be subject to the manufacturer's warranty and may vary depending on:

  • Equipment manufacturer

  • Equipment age

  • Service history

  • Product condition

Express Containers LLC does not extend manufacturer warranties beyond those provided by the original manufacturer.

7. Manufacturer Warranties

Certain products, equipment, accessories, electrical components, appliances, locks, HVAC systems, and refrigeration units may be covered by separate manufacturer warranties.

Where applicable:

  • Manufacturer warranty terms apply directly.

  • Customers may be required to submit claims directly to the manufacturer.

  • Express Containers LLC will reasonably assist customers with warranty documentation when appropriate.

8. What Is Not Covered

This Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic scratches

  • Minor dents

  • Surface rust

  • Paint fading

  • Corrosion caused by environmental exposure

  • Weathering

  • Damage during transportation after delivery

  • Accidents

  • Misuse

  • Neglect

  • Improper maintenance

  • Abuse

  • Unauthorized repairs

  • Customer modifications

  • Vandalism

  • Theft

  • Floods

  • Hurricanes

  • Tornadoes

  • Earthquakes

  • Lightning

  • Fire

  • Chemical exposure

  • Saltwater corrosion

  • Acts of nature

  • Acts of terrorism

  • Improper installation

  • Foundation movement

  • Damage caused by improper lifting or relocation

  • Electrical surges

  • Utility failures

  • Condensation

  • Mold or mildew

  • Damage caused by pests or animals

9. Used Containers

Customers acknowledge that used shipping containers naturally contain signs of previous use, including:

  • Dents

  • Scratches

  • Surface rust

  • Previous repairs

  • Cosmetic imperfections

  • Weld marks

  • Age-related wear

These characteristics are expected and are not considered warranty defects unless they materially differ from the advertised condition.

10. Customer Responsibilities

To maintain warranty eligibility, customers are responsible for:

  • Using products as intended

  • Performing routine maintenance

  • Keeping drainage systems clear

  • Addressing rust promptly

  • Maintaining protective coatings where appropriate

  • Following manufacturer maintenance recommendations

  • Preventing unnecessary damage

  • Reporting warranty concerns promptly

Failure to properly maintain the product may void warranty coverage.

11. Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim, customers should contact Express Containers LLC and provide:

  • Full name

  • Order number or invoice number

  • Proof of purchase

  • Product description

  • Delivery date

  • Description of the issue

  • Photographs of the defect

  • Any additional information reasonably requested during the claim review

Submitting a claim does not guarantee approval.

12. Warranty Inspection

Express Containers LLC reserves the right to:

  • Inspect the product

  • Request photographs or videos

  • Arrange a site inspection

  • Request additional documentation

  • Verify the reported defect before approving any warranty claim

Customers agree to provide reasonable access for inspection when required.

13. Warranty Remedies

If a valid warranty claim is approved, Express Containers LLC may, at its sole discretion and subject to applicable law:

  • Repair the product

  • Replace the defective component

  • Replace the product with a comparable product

  • Provide replacement parts

  • Issue a partial refund

  • Issue a full refund where appropriate

The selected remedy will depend on the nature of the defect, product availability, and applicable legal requirements.

14. Transferability

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, this Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners.

15. Limitation of Warranty

Except as expressly stated in this Warranty Policy and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • No other express warranties are provided.

  • Any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of the applicable express warranty period where permitted by law.

  • Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties, so these limitations may not apply to you.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Express Containers LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages

  • Incidental damages

  • Consequential damages

  • Loss of business

  • Loss of profits

  • Loss of income

  • Downtime

  • Loss of use

  • Property damage beyond the warranted product

  • Personal injury resulting from misuse or unauthorized modifications

Our maximum liability under this Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the affected product.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so portions of this limitation may not apply to you.

17. Changes to This Warranty Policy

Express Containers LLC reserves the right to update or modify this Warranty Policy at any time.

Any revisions become effective upon publication on our website unless otherwise stated.
